I realise I’m a bit late back from all of that but thankfully after 2.5 years I got to see my daughter, her fiancé and my now 17 month old granddaughter Ellie, whom I’d never met until Boxing Day when I collected them from the airport after a long flight (yes they flew on Christmas Day) from Sydney.

Basketry Workshop at Biteabout Arts

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well and that those of you disrupted by the storm last week, are okay. I have to say that there was a fair bit of damage here. All the ridge tiles came off the conservatory / studio roof - thank goodness no one was in the garden when they landed - some were wedged into the grass at an angle 4 inches deep! chimney is ‘tilted’, drainpipes gone, some slates off roof, biggest tree down , electric cable yanked off side of house, main electric cable brought down by tree etc. you get the gist…..

Hare today, hare tomorrow

Hello everybody, I hope you’re all well. So, remember the little A4 watercolour Hare I painted last week, well that one has gone so I decided to paint another one ! This one is larger ‘A3’ and although I used the same reference photo it is very different in ‘feel’ well to me at least ! It has quite a graphical style with lots of black and some outlining and also has some gold metallic highlights - which I love to use - every now and then !
